I. Overview

The HGXL-2020 Frequency-Independent Line Parameter Tester is a high-precision instrument designed for on-site measurement of power-frequency parameters for various high-voltage transmission lines (overhead, cable, and hybrid overhead-cable systems). Featuring an integrated structure with a built-in frequency-converting power module that delivers variable-frequency, voltage-regulated output, it supports frequencies of 47.5 Hz/52.5 Hz, 45.0 Hz/55.0 Hz, 57.5 Hz/62.5 Hz, and 55.0 Hz/65.0 Hz. Utilizing digital filtering technology, it eliminates interference from power-frequency electric fields, fundamentally addressing the challenge of accurate measurement under strong electromagnetic interference conditions. The device is also suitable for testing scenarios where power is supplied by generators following complete power outages.

With the development of power grids and the increasing scarcity of land for transmission line corridors, multi-circuit installation on the same pole has become increasingly common, leading to tighter coupling between transmission lines. This results in significantly stronger interference during power-frequency parameter testing, severely compromising measurement accuracy and the safety of testing equipment. To address this issue, we have developed a new-generation power-frequency parameter testing system for transmission lines, which integrates a variable-frequency test power supply, precision measurement modules, high-speed digital processing chips, and a proprietary national-patented anti-induction voltage circuit. This system effectively eliminates strong interference, ensures equipment safety, and enables highly convenient, rapid, and accurate measurement of power-frequency parameters for transmission lines.
